ColdPress (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Shopify application operated by Coldpress Labs. This Privacy Policy explains what information ColdPress accesses and processes when you install and use the app, how we handle it, and your rights regarding that information.
By installing or using ColdPress, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
What ColdPress Does
ColdPress is a tool that helps Shopify merchants import product data. It takes supplier spreadsheets (CSV, Excel, or TSV files) that a merchant uploads, maps and cleans the data, and creates or updates products in the merchant’s Shopify store.
Information We Access and Process
To provide this service, ColdPress accesses and processes the following:
Merchant store information. When you install ColdPress, we receive your Shopify store domain and the access permissions you grant during installation. We use this solely to connect to your store and create products on your behalf.
Product data you provide. When you upload a supplier file, ColdPress processes the contents of that file — product information such as titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, inventory quantities, variant options, and image URLs. This product data is stored so the app can show you import history, let you preview changes, and undo an import if needed.
Account and usage information. We store basic information about your imports (such as file names, the supplier name you provide, import status, and timestamps) and your subscription plan, so the app can function and so we can manage billing.
Information We Do NOT Collect
ColdPress imports product catalog data only. We do not collect, access, store, or process the personal data of your customers (shoppers). ColdPress does not handle customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, or order information. The app works exclusively with merchant product data.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Provide the app’s core function (importing and managing products in your store)
- Show you your import history and allow you to undo imports
- Manage your subscription and plan limits
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
How Information Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (a hosted database provider) and standard cloud infrastructure. Access to your store’s data is isolated to your store — your information is not accessible to other merchants using ColdPress.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your import data while your app is installed so that features like import history and undo remain available.
When you uninstall ColdPress, we stop processing your data and delete or anonymize it in accordance with Shopify’s data protection requirements. ColdPress implements Shopify’s mandatory data compliance webhooks (customer data request, customer redaction, and shop redaction), and responds to data deletion requests received through Shopify.

Third-Party Services
ColdPress operates within the Shopify platform and uses Shopify’s APIs to access your store and create products. Your use of Shopify is also governed by Shopify’s Privacy Policy. We also use cloud infrastructure providers (such as Supabase and our hosting provider) to operate the service; these providers process data only as needed to run the app.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of ColdPress after changes means you accept the updated policy.
